We offer our Members the option of returning their item containers when we make your weekly deliveries. This is a great option when your town/city does not accept our plastic containers with your weekly recycling collection. All new Members are opted into this recycling program.
If enrolled in our Container Return Program, a special recycling icon (♻️) will be visible on your packing slip included in your order. This icon will let our delivery drivers know whether or not you are actively enrolled.
To return your containers:

Rinse, clean, and sanitize your containers (dishwasher or sink with soap)

Place your containers in an empty F&F delivery bag along with your ice pack

On your next delivery day, your driver will collect your containers, bags, and ice packs
We accept any rigid plastic, including salad containers (base, lid & insert), souffle cups (base & lid), black base containers and clear lids, and deli-tainers (base & lid).
We do not accept plastic bags, glass, or aluminum pans.
Your containers will be collected, consolidated, and retrieved at our facility by our partner, TerraCycle. Because of this, there is a weekly $2 fee associated with collecting your containers. TerraCycle specializes in collecting hard-to-recycle materials (such as our food containers) and repurposing them into affordable, innovative products, rather than sending the waste to a landfill. If your bags are not collected upon making your weekly delivery, please look for a notecard from our team inside the bag, asking that the containers be re-sanitized so we can collect them for this program.
